AFL Live 2 will contain a mass of new modes, including what everyone wanted - a new 15-year career mode that takes players all the way from the TAC Cup, through the VFL and into the AFL. That said, there's a likelihood you will have to play exceedingly well to get drafted - we can only speculate thus far.
AFL Live 2 will allow players to make up their own teams by drafting real-life AFL players. As well as playing as the 18 AFL teams, AFL Live 2 will allow you to play as over 60 real-life teams from the TAC Cup, VFL and other bonus teams, such as the Dennis Cometi and Tom Harley All-Stars. Speaking of Tom Harley, commentator Brian Taylor has been scrapped in the favor of the Geelong superstar, while Dennis Cometi remains in his usual spot as main commentator.
Tru Blu Managing Director Sebastian Giompaolo talks about how this iteration will improve upon the last. "The demand for a new AFL game on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 has been staggering. We have listened to our fans and improved the gameplay, by improving your ability to out-manoeuvre your opponents, and selecting meaningful team tactics that give you control of your team. In addition the comprehensive 15-year career mode, new gameplay and new additions will allow AFL and sports fans alike the chance to experience all the action of the AFL from the best seat in the house."
AFL Live 2 will be released in September on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
